The unique charm and valuable experience of terrazzo

Terrazzo is a highly regarded material in the field of architectural decoration. It has many unique properties and rich experience that are worth exploring in depth.

Terrazzo first appeared in the ancient Roman period. At that time, people began to use materials such as stone particles and cement to create this kind of floor decoration material that is both beautiful and durable. Its basic production process is to mix aggregates such as crushed stone, glass, and quartz stone into cement adhesive to make a concrete product, and then grind and polish the surface. Traditional terrazzo has a relatively single color, mostly gray, white, etc., but with the development of modern technology, it can present a colorful color effect.

In terms of installation, terrazzo has rich experience. The treatment of the base layer is very important. It must be flat and solid, so that terrazzo will not easily have problems such as hollowing during subsequent use. When laying terrazzo, pay attention to the uniformity of the stone distribution to ensure the overall aesthetics. The maintenance link after construction should not be underestimated. The appropriate maintenance time can make terrazzo achieve the best hardness and finish.

Terrazzo has many advantages. First of all, it has strong wear resistance and can maintain good condition for a long time in places with large traffic, such as shopping malls and schools. Secondly, it is also very waterproof and is not easily corroded by liquid penetration. Moreover, terrazzo is highly customizable, and both complex patterns and unique color combinations can be achieved.

In terms of appearance, terrazzo gives people a unique feeling of retro and modern. It can create an elegant European-style space and adapt to modern minimalist style design. With its many advantages and rich experience accumulation, terrazzo has always occupied a place on the stage of architectural decoration, constantly adding unique charm to human living and commercial spaces.
